Tattoo by Jordin Sparks

Oh, oh, oh
No matter what you say about love
I keep coming back for more
Keep my hand in the fire
Sooner or later, I'll get what I'm asking for
No matter what you say about life
I learn every time I bleed
That truth is a stranger
Soul is in danger, I gotta let my spirit be free
To admit that I'm wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I have to move on
And leave you behind
[Chorus]
I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize, nothing's broken
No need to worry 'bout everything I've done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don't look back at a new direction
I loved you once, needed protection
You're still a part of everything I do
You're on my heart just like a tattoo
(Just like a tattoo, I'll always have you
I'll always have you, I'll always have you)
I'm sick of playing all of these games
It's not about taking sides
When I looked in the mirror, didn't deliver
It hurt enough to think that I could
Stop, admit that I'm wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I gotta be strong
And leave you behind
[Chorus]
(Just like a tattoo, I'll always have you
I'll always have you)
[Bridge]
If I live every moment
Won't change any moment
Still a part of me and you
I will never regret you
Still the memory of you
Marks everything i do
[Chorus x2]
Just like a tattoo
I'll always have you

I am so tired (As In KaPoY jUd)

Quotes (part 1)

➤➤"I LOVE you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you"

➤➤" I am getting married next month!
Biglaan lang!
Just a small party a few people will be invited
Don't bring any gift, just bring someone
who will marry me!!

➤➤" We are like PENCILS. The best part of us is INSIDE. We make marks as we touch lives. We make mistakes, we ERASE. But we become better as we are sharpened.

➤➤ "What if you believe in love? Then someone comes and teaches you how to love and you will fall for him... but he only meant to teach, not to fall for you... Masakit noh??

➤➤" I may not be as IMPORTANT as what you think. I may not even be on the TOP of your priority list. You might even forget me, but I want you to know that I AM JUST HERE WHENEVER YOU NEED ME...

➤➤"I would be foolish if I let go of someone like you,, I'd be so cruel if I ever said I HATE YOU...I'd be so stupid if I wanted to forget you, where in my heart I know that I LOVE YOU...

➤➤" What if you're not destined to be together?
Which if you're meant for somebody else?
Will you just give up and let destiny rule your heart?
Or....
Will you fight and let your heart rules your destiny???"

Ikaw Lamang by Silent Sanctuary

Di ko maintindihan
Ang nilalaman ng puso
Tuwing magkahawak ang ating kamay
Pinapanalangin lagi tayong magkasama
Hinihiling bawat oras kapiling ka

Sa lahat ng aking ginagawa
Ikaw lamang ang nasa isip ko sinta
Sana’y di na tayo magkahiwalay
Kahit kailan pa man

Ikaw lamang ang aking minamahal
Ikaw lamang ang tangi kong inaasam
Makapiling ka habang buhay
Ikaw lamang sinta
Wala na kong hihingin pa
Wala na

Ayoko ng maulit pa
Ang nakaraang ayokong maalala
Bawat oras na wala ka
Parang mabigat na parusa

Huwag mong kakalimutan na kahit nag-iba
Hindi ako tumigil magmahal sayo sinta

Sa lahat ng aking ginagawa
Ikaw lamang ang nasa isip ko sinta

Sana’y di na tayo magkahiwalay
Kahit kailan pa man

Ikaw lamang ang aking minamahal
Ikaw lamang ang tangi kong inaasam
Makapiling ka habang buhay
Ikaw lamang sinta
Wala na kong hihingin pa
Wala na

Waste Water Treatment: An Endurance for Life

Waste Water is water that has been used. It could be used by residences, businesses and industries in a community. It includes substances such as human waste, food scraps, oils, soaps, and chemicals. It also includes storm runoff. Although some people assume that the rain runs down the street during a storm is fairly clean, it isn’t.

We consider wastewater treatment as water use because it is also interconnected with the other uses of water. It is the process of removing contaminants for waste water both runoff and domestic. It includes physical, chemical and biological processes to remove physical, chemical and biological wastes.

The site where waste water is processed before it is discharged back to the environment is called a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). Waste Water Treatment comprises of Preliminary, Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Treatment.

The Preliminary treatment is the first step in waste water treatment. It includes screening out, grinding up or separating debris to protect the pumping and other equipment in the treatment. The treatment equipments such as bar screens, comminuters (a large version of garbage disposal) and grit chamber are used as the waste water first enters a treatment plant. The scattered debris are usually disposed in a landfill.

In Primary treatment, the different influent sewage water is strained to remove all large objects that are deposited. It removes the materials that can be easily collected from the raw wastewater and disposed of.

Many plants have sedimentation stage where the sewage is allowed to pass slowly through large tanks, commonly called “primary clarifiers” or “primary sedimentation tanks”. Waste Water are stored there for several hours. It allows particles to settle to the bottom and greases to float to the top. Its main purpose is to produce both a generally homogenous liquid capably of being treated biologically and a sludge that can be separately treated or processed.

Secondary treatment is designed to substantially degrade the biological content of the sewage. Sewage microorganisms are cultivated and added to the wastewater. The microorganisms absorb organic matter from sewage as their food supply. Secondary treatment is classified as fixed film system, suspended film system and lagoon system.

Fixed film systems grow microorganisms on substances such as rocks, sand or plastic. It includes trickling filter and rotating biological contactors where the biomass grows on media in and the sewage passes over its surface.

In Suspended film system- such as activated sludge, the biomass is well mixed with the sewage and can be operated in a smaller surface. It stir and suspend microorganisms in wastewater.

Lagoon systems are shallow basins which hold the waste water for several months to shallow basins which hold the waste water for several months to allow for the natural aeration and microorganisms in the waste water to renovate sewage.

The Final or tertiary treatment focuses on removal of disease causing organisms for efficient quality before it is discharged to the receiving environment. Treated wastewater can be disinfected by adding chlorine or by using ultraviolet light. High levels of chlorine may be harmful to aquatic life in receiving streams. Treatment systems often add a chlorine-neutralizing chemical to the treated wastewater before the discharge.

Advanced treatment is necessary in some treatment system to remove nutrients from wastewater. Chemicals are sometimes added during the treatment process to help settle out or strip out phosphorus or nitrogen. Some examples of nutrient removal system include coagulant addition for phosphorus removal and air stripping for ammonia removal.

Why should we treat waste water? Much of the water used by homes, industries and businesses must be treated before it is released back to the environment. It may harm the marine life and us too.

Gattaca : a movie critique

Gattaca, a 1997 movie is a fine for all. It wakes us up morally and emotionally. It also opens or knowledge for it is a science fiction movie. The movie goes this way. It is about a guy named Vincent (portrayed by Ethan Hawke) who aimed to be an astronaut. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have the qualifications. First is the height but he’s too short. Another is the exact 20:20 grade of the eye but he has myopia and most of all, the satisfying health condition but it’s been noted since his birth that he has 99% probability of heart disease. It was predicted that his life expectancy will only be until his 31st year. Despite of all those things, he didn’t give up. He worked as a janitor in a space station, Gattaca. Thanks that he met Jerome (Jude Law), a former astronaut who helped him in fulfilling his dreams by sacrificing his identity.

Scientifically, through that movie I recalled my past lessons in biology. The first part of the movie is about the probability of traits and in the middle of the movie is about the finger print that identifies the astronaut. A person’s genetic composition serves as his or her identification card. It makes all humans different and distinguishes one’s identity. I also had an idea regarding the career of an astronaut. The qualifications are important in order for them to survive in space. Space is different from our home planet. It has different chemical environment that we humans are not used to.

There are twists of the movie that I didn’t expect to happen. It is just like the part when brother and father of Vincent were just working in Gattaca. It makes the movie thrilling and I love it.

I had mixed emotions in the movie. First of all, I pitied Jerome. It’s just because of his disability, he haven’t fulfilled his dream to go to Titan, the moon of Saturn. He has nothing to do but to give his identity to Vincent. The other was when Vincent told his lover, Irene (Uma Thurman) about his disability and he only has few heartbeats left but he still wants to carry out his mission to Titan. That part makes me cry. Lastly, I was impressed of what he has done to his brother. He didn’t think of what his brother done to him. Vincent still saved his brother when he got drowned.

In the movie, I realized the virtue of generosity. Jerome wasn’t selfish to Vincent. He didn’t think of his ambition just to help someone that isn’t related to him. I also admired Vincent for his affirmativeness. He didn’t lose hope to fulfill his dreams. He didn’t think of his disabilities. He’s not like others who keep anger. He still saved his brother even though he knew that he offended him.

If I were given a chance to rate the movie, I rate it five stars. It is worth to watch and it inspires everyone. I hope that there will be other movies such as that.
